Hugh Elks, CEO, Southeast Mechanical

Hugh Elks, CEO

Hugh is a U.S. Navy Veteran with over 20 years of experience in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning service industry sector. In fostering Southeast Mechanical’s values, Hugh helps drive the company’s focus on employee growth and ensures the customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. Through his leadership and strategic direction, our companies realize operational excellence and growth in their markets.

Mark Quinn, CFO

Mark brings extensive experience in operational finance and accounting, investment analysis, strategic analysis and business valuation from his time as CFO of OSRAM Americas. While at OSRAM, he concentrated his time on overseeing the financing operations and compliance in six countries with over $1B in revenue and completed 10 acquisitions and divestitures to align the company’s strategy as the industry went through a revolutionary technology shift. He also brings a well-rounded and common-sense approach when working closely with business and management teams to drive financial performance.

Shelly Suggs, CPA Controller

Shelly was hired in April ’23 after we acquired Logan Home Energy Services in Winston-Salem, where she was CFO for nine years. Her intimate knowledge of the commercial and home HVAC industry is invaluable in helping our brands realize peak financial performance. She is also instrumental in coaching financial teams and assisting with IT, human resources, payroll, and benefits selection and implementation.

Mitchelle Trent, Operations Excellence Manager

With over 22 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Mitchelle has built a diverse and accomplished career. He began his journey as an LP pipe fitter and installer and has since excelled in roles across every aspect of the business, from installation and service to sales and comfort consulting. Mitchelle’s career trajectory has included leadership positions such as Install Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager, and now, his current role as Operations Excellence Manager at Southeast Mechanical.

Angela Stahly, HR Manager

Angela has been working in the human resources field for over 20 years. Leveraging her experience from various industries, Angela has been reinforcing the culture of Southeast Mechanical. Angela came on board in September ’23 and has been providing value to all Southeast Mechanical employees.
